Today, 08/23/2022, saw the largest recorded single donation ever made to a political influence organization. $1.6 billion was donated to Marble Freedom Trust, which is controlled by Leonard A. Leo.
If you haven’t heard of either Marble Freedom or Leo, you’re not alone. Leo was also co-chair of the Federalist Society which has been integral in the effort to swing our Supreme Court conservative. He announced in 2020 that he was stepping back from the Federalist Society to “remake politics at every level”. Does this sound familiar? Originally Reported by Kenneth P. George Soros, the infamous left-wing supporter, vowed to do the same thing years ago. He supported far left government officials at the bottom of the political ladder and worked his way up. Once his candidate was voted in, the next voting cycle he would support an even further left candidate with even more radical leftist ideologies. This is how we end up with defunct places such as Chicago, San Francisco, and Portland.
The $1.6 billion was donated by Barre Seid a long time executive of Tripp Lite, Chicago based producer of electronic equipment. With Conservatives finally waking up to the fact that our government has been taken over, we are fighting back. The left is furious with this donation and calling for an end to “Dark Money” donations, it’s ok when it goes for their cause though.
Leo said in a statement "it's high time for the conservative movement to be among the ranks of George Soros, Hansjörg Wyss, Arabella Advisors and other left-wing philanthropists, going toe-to-toe in the fight to defend our Constitution and its ideals". To put this donation into perspective the $1.6 billion single donation, is more than double the TOTAL amount raised by Trump’s presidential campaign committee during the entire 2020 election cycle.
